Policy for Internal Transfers
Undergraduate Internal Transfer Policy (Applicable Prior to Fall 2025 Intake)
- Candidates are eligible for internal transfer only if they had formally applied for the desired program during the original admission round (i.e., submitted an application form, paid the admission processing fee, and received an admit card/result) and met the direct admission cutoff for that program.
- Students who held multiple admission offers or who met the direct cutoff for multiple programs at the time of admission (as explained in point 1) are eligible to transfer between those programs, based on their old scores/offers, without reapplying.
- Candidates who did not apply for a program during the original admission round are not eligible for transfer into that program, regardless of their test/SAT score.
- Candidates who did not meet the direct admission cutoff or did not hold an admission offer for the desired program at the time of admission must reapply as new applicants.
Undergraduate Internal Transfer Policy (Effective Fall 2025 Intake and Onwards)
- Candidates will be required to confirm/accept admission to only one program at the time of admission.
- Once a program is accepted, all other offers—whether from the same school or a different school—will automatically become null and void.
- If a candidate met the direct admission cutoff for another program within the same school where they accepted admission, they may apply for internal transfer to that program.
- Internal transfers based on admission through interview will not be permitted.
- Applicants must also satisfy any additional program/school-specific requirements; transfers will only be granted if all such criteria are met.
- Candidates who wish to transfer to a program in a different school, or who do not meet the eligibility criteria for an internal transfer within the same school, must reapply through the regular admission process.
